Questions people ask
- Is the price guaranteed?
- No. It's an indicative offer based on each card being Near Mint, unless you marked it otherwise. We check condition in the shop and make you a firm offer there.
- Where do the prices come from?
- From the cheapest Near Mint English copy on Cardmarket, updated every day. It is the same price our in-store scanner uses, so the online quote and the counter agree. The date of the prices is shown on your quote.
- Cash or store credit?
- Either. Store credit is 70% of market value and cash is 55%. On €100 of cards that is €70 in credit or €55 in cash. Store credit can be spent on anything in store.
- What about 1st Editions, Shadowless or graded cards?
- Add them to your list. We price 1st Edition and Shadowless prints, graded slabs, and the odd card where Cardmarket's prices don't agree with each other, in person when you bring them in.
- Is there a limit?
- Up to 1,000 lines in one quote. For a bigger collection, split the list and send the rest separately. There is no cap on value: chase cards get an indicative price online too.
- Why do you need my email?
- So we can show your prices and send you a copy of your quote. You can also tick a box for news about card events and new sets, or for a single reminder about your quote. Both are optional.
- Can I sell Magic, One Piece or Japanese cards?
- Not through the online quote yet. Bring them in and we'll price them with you.
- Where do I bring them?
- To the shop at 75 York Road, Dún Laoghaire. We check the cards over the counter and pay you there, in cash or store credit.
